We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) to join our Maternal Fetal Medicine department at Ascension Seton. As a key member of our team, you will provide clinical assessment, examination, and treatment for women in need of Maternal Fetal Medicine services in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Responsibilities- Obtain patient history and perform assessment via observation, interview, and examination
- Provide quality care and conduct diagnostic testing in accordance with evidence-based clinical guidelines
- Interpret antenatal testing (e.g. non-stress tests)
- Participate in ongoing quality assurance audits and provide real-time feedback to improve patient care
- Work collaboratively with a team of physicians, associate providers, and other stakeholders to provide comprehensive clinical care
- Ensure continuous flow of communication with leadership of clinic to enhance quality of healthcare services to patients
- Provide patient navigation to provide seamless care coordination between inpatient and outpatient settings
- Participate in the education of medical students, OB/GYN residents, and fellows
- Support and participate in research initiatives within the division
- Licensure/Certification/Registration: Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required
- BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred
- Drug Enforcement Admin credentialed from the Drug Enforcement Administration preferred
- Education: Master's degree of Nursing required
- Additional Preferences: Doctoral degree in nursing science or equivalent degree, five years of experience providing obstetrical care, Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
