About the RoleThis position requires a registered nurse with experience in acute care settings, preferably in obstetrics. The successful candidate will assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate the care of post-partum patients, while also assisting in newborn care and instructing patients and families on medications and treatment instructions.
The ideal candidate will possess leadership skills, as they will be responsible for maintaining and reviewing patients' records, administering medications according to physician orders, and assuming leadership responsibility for their nursing team during designated shifts.
Requirements- Licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse, with compact licensure eligible
- Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred
- American Heart Association BLS certification
- NRP certification within 6 months of hire or transfer
- Minimum 1 year RN experience in an acute care setting, preferably in obstetrics
