Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop full-stack software solutions using Java, incorporating UI, front-end, back-end, and full-stack development, as well as algorithm development.
  • Collaborate with the team to analyze requirements and derive user stories and issues for development planning.
  • Perform integration and testing as needed, ensuring seamless integration of software components.
  • Provide tier 2 and 3 support for deployed capabilities, addressing bug fixes and ensuring optimal system performance.
  • Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

  • Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features, integrating existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments.

  • Serve as team lead at the level appropriate to the software development process being used on any particular project, overseeing one or more software development teams.
  • Design or implement complex database or data repository interfaces/queries, developing or implementing algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standards.
  • Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components, ensuring quality and reliability.
  • Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, confer with users or system engineers, and investigate problem areas.
  • Modify existing software to correct errors, adapt to new hardware, or improve its performance, ensuring optimal system functionality.
  • Design, develop, and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design.
  • Design or implement complex algorithms requiring adherence to strict timing, system resource, or interface constraints, perform quality control on team products.
  • Implement recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards, ensuring continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • Fourteen (14) years' experience as a Software Engineer, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • Experience with Enterprise Java development, developing service-oriented architectures, and micro service solutions.
  • Database experience, including knowledge of parameters and values represented in cellular communications.
Desired Skills
  • Experience with Java Spring Framework (e.g. Spring Boot).
  • Experience with ElasticSearch.
  • Experience with Java development IDEs (e.g. IntelliJ, Eclipse).
  • Experience with agile development practices.
  • Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence).
  • Experience with Gitlab.
  • Experience with container technologies (e.g. Docker).
