GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Under the general supervision of the Sales Manager, the primary duty of the Retail Sales Specialist is to deliver exceptional service, regardless of whether a purchase is made. This role requires maintaining a welcoming and professional atmosphere by greeting and acknowledging every customer and colleague. Reliability, responsibility, and dependability are essential. Attention to detail and thoroughness in task completion are critical. Retail Sales Specialists will be active on the showroom floor for extended periods, efficiently completing all sales transactions. They will also effectively communicate customer service issues and requests to management.

EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED: Retail Sales Specialists promote and sell merchandise displayed on the showroom floor; engage directly with both internal and external customers; follow up on customer orders and inquiries; assist with any merchandise-related issues in collaboration with customer service and warehouse operations; coordinate with other departments to ensure customer needs are met; inquire about customer preferences regarding products, pricing, availability, and usage to better understand their needs; explain product features in an easily understandable manner; recommend and assist in locating or obtaining merchandise based on customer specifications; describe merchandise and explain its use, operation, and care to customers; stay informed about new products, policies, and current promotions; utilize excellent customer relations skills; and follow up with customers as needed. Perform any additional duties as assigned by management.

COMPENSATION: $15/hour during training (2 weeks). Post-training, compensation will be $15/hour or commission, whichever is higher, for the first 60 days. After 60 days, the pay structure will transition to straight commission.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS: Ability to lift merchandise weighing up to 40 lbs to facilitate the selling process; must be able to stand or walk for extended periods; must effectively listen and respond to customer needs; ability to communicate efficiently with team members; prior sales experience is preferred but not mandatory; maintain a positive attitude when interacting with both internal and external customers.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS: To successfully perform the essential functions of this role, an employee must be capable of performing the following: stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, climbing, crawling, walking, pulling, lifting, talking, listening, and repetitive motion. Heavy Work: Lifting up to 40 lbs rarely, and/or up to 10 lbs occasionally to move objects.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Indoor climate-controlled environment.
