Role Overview: The Registered Nurse (RN), adhering to the ANA scope of practice, employs the nursing process framework to deliver professional nursing care, integrating patient-family centered care principles for assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and discharge.
The RN is responsible for providing high-quality patient care under the guidance of the Nurse Leader, following Corewell Health policies and procedures, and understanding the influence of nursing care and patient/family collaboration on health outcomes.
The RN collaborates with patients and families to incorporate their input and objectives into the care plan, developing educational strategies for patients and families while accurately documenting learning in health records.

Qualifications: An Associate's degree in Nursing is required, with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing expected within five years. Candidates from non-accredited nursing programs must possess at least one year of acute care experience or two years in a licensed healthcare role, along with successful completion of the NCLEX licensure examination.
Licensure: Must hold a Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Certifications: AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required, and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification must be obtained within six months. Specialty certification is highly recommended within two years.
