Job Title: CDL Class B Route Driver

About the Role:

We are seeking a reliable and skilled CDL Class B Route Driver to join our team. As a CDL Class B Route Driver, you will be responsible for delivering and unloading food and food-related products to our customers in a safe and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive a tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate local, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, and overnight and drive and drop routes.
  • Deliver and unload food and food-related products to customers in a safe and timely manner.
  • Communicate and interact with customers, vendors, and co-workers professionally.
  • Perform all required safety checks and inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
  • Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies.
Requirements:
  • Valid CDL-B or CDL-A license.
  • 1 year commercial driving experience.
  • Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years.
  • Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
  • Pass road test.
  • Attains or has valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CDL driving experience in inclement weather (snow / chains).
  • Onboard computer and electronic log system experience (i.e. PeopleNet).
  • Hand-held point of delivery scanning system experience (i.e. POD).
  • Customer service related work experience.
