Recreational Lifeguard

This role is essential for ensuring a secure, pristine, and enjoyable atmosphere for all visitors by diligently supervising pool and deck activities while enforcing safety regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prevent accidents and mitigate risks, effectively respond to emergencies, and operate all relevant equipment safely in accordance with established protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness of pool areas and decks while enhancing guest satisfaction through promoting resort amenities and services.
• Handle opening and closing procedures, conduct safety inspections, and administer first aid when necessary.
• Communicate efficiently with the Guest Engagement Manager and team members to foster a collaborative work environment.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or GED, or currently enrolled in educational programs.
• Certification in shallow water safety, first aid, and CPR is mandatory. (Training provided by HICV)

CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• Must possess Lifeguard, CPR (ARC or AHA), and First Aid (ARC or SEMT) certifications.
• Training will be provided by Holiday Inn Club Vacations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to comprehend and execute verbal and written instructions.
• Demonstrate swimming proficiency by passing a pre-employment swim test, which includes entering the water.
• Swim a minimum of 10 yards, dive, and retrieve a ten-pound object from a depth of at least five feet.
• Ability to engage and communicate effectively with guests and colleagues.
• Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.
• Exhibit a strong commitment to delivering exceptional service to owners and guests.
• Maintain a professional appearance and a friendly demeanor.
• Demonstrate sound judgment and decision-making abilities.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.

Availability on weekends is required.
