About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Surgical Services Nurse to join our team at CHI St. Alexius Health Devils Lake Hospital. As a key member of our surgical team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of care for our patients undergoing surgical procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the surgeon and surgical team in the operating room, providing expert care to patients before, during, and after procedures.
  • Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans for surgical patients, ensuring their needs are met and their comfort is prioritized.
  • Prepare operating rooms with all necessary equipment and supplies, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for surgical procedures.
  • Demonstrate exceptional compassion and empathy for patients and their families, providing emotional support and education throughout the surgical process.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Active North Dakota Registered Nurse License (Compact RN license holders must obtain North Dakota licensure within 90 days of start date, if employee resides in the state of ND).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • ACLS & PALS certification.
