About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Shop Laborer to join our team at BNSF Railway. As a Mechanical Shop Laborer, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment in our shop environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate industrial maintenance equipment, including forklifts, mobile cranes, and shop tractors
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubricating equipment
  • Assist in the repair and maintenance of locomotives and other equipment
  • Drive fuel tanker trucks on roadways and BNSF property to fuel locomotives
Requirements
  • 21 years of age or older
  • Valid CDL with test endorsements for combination vehicle, air brake, and HAZMAT
  • Ability to work safely in extreme weather conditions and on uneven surfaces
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
