Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year

Job Description: As a Podiatry Specialist, you will provide prescribed medical treatment and personal care services to patients with diseases and injuries seeking treatment in the clinic, as directed by physician or mid-level provider.

Responsibilities:

  • Actively examine patient for symptoms of disease, injury, or disorder of the feet.
  • Order and perform diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures such as x-ray, laboratory tests, suturing, and wound care, etc.
  • Document all medical information into the patient's electronic medical record utilizing the VA's VISTA/CPRS electronic patient record system.
  • Counsel patients on the use of prescription medications, educate patients relating to care plan, and provide routine health maintenance as appropriate.
  • Develop and implement patient management plans.

Requirements:

  • Minimum one year clinical medical practice required, greater experience preferred; government healthcare environment preferred.
  • Doctor of Podiatry degree.
  • Board certified in podiatry.
  • Must be credentialed and remain in good standing through the Veterans Health Administration (VA).
