Environmental Planner

We are a leading environmental, land use, and planning services firm with offices in the Hudson River Valley. Our team provides expert services to public and private clients, including municipalities and developers, across multiple counties.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Planner to join our team in our Hudson Valley Office. The successful candidate will support project managers and senior staff in development application reviews, grant preparation, zoning and comprehensive plan preparation, meeting attendance, and similar tasks.

• Assist in development application reviews and grant preparation
• Support zoning and comprehensive plan preparation
• Attend meetings and provide technical expertise
• Conduct land use, zoning, and demographic analysis
• Prepare fiscal impact analysis, natural resource and ecological analysis, wetland delineations, traffic studies, and visual impact studies

• Bachelor's degree in planning or related field and 3-5 years of progressive planning experience
• Demonstrated experience in land use, zoning, and demographic analysis, fiscal impact analysis, natural resource and ecological analysis, and similar environmental and planning responsibilities
• Knowledge of SEQR and New York State municipal laws
• AICP certification is preferable
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
