Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Warranty Claims Specialist to join our team at McCandless Truck Center Aurora. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for processing warranty claims and invoices for all locations and departments in a timely and accurate manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process warranty claims and invoices for all locations and departments on a timely basis
  • Work with the Warranty Manager and Service Managers to ensure timely and accurate processing and reconciliation of warranty claims
  • Compile, maintain, track, file, and/or scan all warranty paperwork to ensure proper documentation and data retention
  • Reconcile all warranty receivables with payments through the appropriate accounting schedule
  • Refine, appeal, or amend rejected claims promptly or obtain authorization to write them off
  • Follow up on payment of outstanding claims
  • Assist in the tracking of warranty parts by ensuring that warranty parts are being turned in, tagged, labeled, handled, and stored properly
  • Work with the appropriate staff at each location to ensure warranty parts are shipped to the factory, distributor, or are scrapped in a timely manner
  • Stay informed of all factory warranty processes and procedures, active recalls/AFC's, and service/warranty bulletins
  • Assist with cashier and telephone duties as needed
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • One year of relevant experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
