About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Traffic Engineer to join our local Traffic Engineering and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Department. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse projects for clients like the New Jersey Department of Transportation, New York City Department of Transportation, and Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with traffic analysis and design, data collection programs, technical reports, traffic modeling and simulation, transportation management plans, and traffic engineering design.
  • Work closely with senior engineers to complete design and/or analysis of roadways, bicycle, and pedestrian facilities, ITS, and other transportation infrastructure.
  • Prepare design plans, traffic analysis, design calculations, and technical reports for transportation infrastructure projects.
Requirements
  • Completion of a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
  • 0-4 years of traffic engineering design experience.
  • Familiarity with MicroStation CAD software and Microsoft Office programs.
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
