Physician Assistant Wanted in Hamden, Connecticut

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team at Align ENT & Allergy. As a Physician Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the growth and success of our practice.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate and treat patients with a range of ENT conditions, including pediatric and adult cases.
- Perform ENT procedures, such as fiberoptic scope exams, drainage abscesses, and tracheostomy care.
- Provide patient services under the direct supervision of our attending physicians.
- Responsible for evaluating patients, obtaining medical history, performing ENT exams, ordering imaging, and developing care plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
- Administer medications and refill prescriptions according to practice protocols or patient-specific orders.
- Order and collect specimens for laboratory tests and imaging services.
- Initiate and coordinate patient referrals to other healthcare providers and facilities.
- Perform clinical procedures within established scope of practice guidelines.
- Complete medical record documentation and maintain proficiency with EMR systems.
- Graduate of a Physician Assistant Program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, Inc.
- Current licensure as a Physician Assistant in the State of Connecticut.
- Board certification from the National Commission of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) at the time of hire and maintenance of certification throughout employment.
- Current AHA BLS certification.
- Registration with the United States Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) for scheduled II-V Controlled Substances if prescribing controlled substances.
