The Infrastructure Design Lead will collaborate closely with the Technology Project Manager and Engagement Manager to deliver comprehensive documentation of infrastructure technology solutions aligned with standard product offerings. This role entails a thorough understanding and documentation of the existing environment for each design request.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Infrastructure Design Expertise: Utilize Visio to create detailed designs for server migration environments.
2. Technical Proficiency: Possess a robust engineering background in operating systems, hardware, Linux/Windows/AIX, storage solutions (understanding NAS vs SAN), middleware technologies (WebLogic/WebSphere), VMware, and cloud computing (familiarity is essential).
3. Requirements Gathering: Engage with application and business unit stakeholders to ascertain their infrastructure needs for hosting new applications or modifying existing ones. Communicate these requirements effectively to technical teams and facilitate architectural discussions.
Security Expertise: Provide foundational security standards and policies for multiple high-complexity projects, ensuring a consistent focus on customer and business objectives throughout the design process.
Client Collaboration: Work with clients to comprehend business requirements by reviewing the Business Requirements Document.
