Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact in your local community by participating in debris cleanup efforts after natural disasters. As a Debris Monitor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that debris is properly collected and disposed of, while also supporting the recovery efforts of affected areas.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, responsible, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. You will be responsible for monitoring and observing loading activities, confirming that debris is being collected from eligible areas, and ensuring that cleanup efforts comply with federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and observe loading activities of trucks and other vehicles.
  • Confirm that debris is being collected from eligible areas and not from private property.
  • Ensure that cleanup efforts comply with federal regulations.
  • Brief the supervisor on daily activities, debris collection progress, and any issues or problems.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license.
  • Insured and reliable vehicle for following trucks.
  • Ability to work on weekends and for long periods of time (10-12 hours a day).
  • Ability to use a smartphone and provide valid I9 documentation.
  • Good teamwork and cooperation skills.
