We are seeking a seasoned Clinical Veterinarian to join our team at UT Health San Antonio as an Animal Health Expert. This is an exceptional opportunity to utilize your expertise in laboratory animal medicine to make a meaningful impact in our community. You will be responsible for providing veterinary care and fulfilling veterinarian responsibilities for the animal care program, while ensuring the highest quality animal care and research outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide veterinary care and fulfill veterinarian responsibilities for the animal care program.
  • Oversee facility standards for compliance to regulations affecting animal research.
  • Develop/present training programs and instruct staff in humane methods of animal maintenance and experimentation.

Requirements:

  • A Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine is required, with a strong background in laboratory animal medicine.
  • Three (3) years' experience working in a laboratory environment is required; experience working in an AAALAC accredited academic facility is preferred.
