Cabinet Craftsman

We are seeking a skilled Cabinet Builder to join our team at Creative Cabinets and Fine Finishes. As a Cabinet Builder, you will play a crucial role in bringing our clients' visions to life by designing, fabricating, and installing custom cabinetry and fine finishes.

• Collaborate with our sales team, project managers, and clients to understand project requirements and deliver exceptional results.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and high-quality outcomes.
• Handle kitchen and bathroom remodeling projects of various sizes, from small renovations to large-scale constructions.
• Take accurate field measurements and verify dimensions to ensure precise fit and quality.
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and CAD designs to build, assemble, and install cabinetry components.
• Verify the quality and fit of pieces, ensuring specifications are met and exceeding client expectations.
• Establish cabinet specifications, fabricate or assemble components, and ensure seamless integration with other elements.
• Measure, mark, and cut timber to precise dimensions, using hand tools and power equipment.
• Trim, sand, or scrape surfaces to prepare cabinets for finishing, ensuring a smooth and professional finish.
• Match materials for color, grain, and texture, maintaining consistency throughout the project.
• Install crown molding, light rail molding, doors, drawers, knobs, pulls, hardware, hinges, and rails with precision and attention to detail.
• Develop and maintain expertise in wood species and grades, ensuring the highest quality materials are used.
• Operate and maintain various tools and machines, including hand routers, saws, stationary equipment, and power hand tools.
• Clean and organize the work area daily, maintaining a safe and efficient workspace.
• Store items in a secure and accessible manner, adhering to company standards and policies.
• Maintain equipment and work area, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
• Perform related duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to excellence.

• Carpentry experience: 5+ years (required).
• Cabinet fabrication and installation experience: 5+ years (required).

• Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques, installation methods, and construction principles.
• Extensive knowledge of power tools and equipment.
• Ability to accurately use measuring devices and read job instructions.
• Ability to read and understand CAD designs, translating them into fabricated products.
• Good verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.

• Standing for 90% of the workday.
• Lifting a minimum of 50-75 pounds safely.
• Climbing ladders without difficulty.
• Performing overhead tasks, frequent bending, and stooping.
• Using hand power tools and equipment.
