Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced security professional to join our team as a Security Officer. This role involves ensuring the safety and security of our auction site, offices, and grounds. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting the perimeter fence, securing gates, and monitoring the premises for any potential security risks or hazards.

Responsibilities
  • Security and Safety
    • Inspect the fence line for indications of unauthorized entry or potential security risks.
    • Ensure the offices, auction building, and grounds are secured at established times. Note any security, safety, or fire hazards.
    • Watch and report irregularities, such as fire hazards, leaking water pipes, and security doors left unlocked.
  • Patrol and Monitoring
    • Secure gates at established times and patrol auction property. Check for unlocked doors. Maintain radio contact with the main gate.
    • Sounds alarm or call police or fire department by telephone in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
  • Vehicle Processing
    • Using a handheld computer, input vehicle information, including the VIN number, miles, dealer identification number, vehicle options, repair orders, and any other pertinent information.
    • Verify the VIN number being entered matches the VIN number on the shipper's Bill of Lading.
    • Generate Stock-In sticker & Auction Sale Sticker (Vehicle Run Number) and apply to window.
    • Write vehicle run number on the passenger front side window.
    • Issue new run sticks for vehicles not sold in prior week's auction and input information into AuctionTrac.
  • Qualifications
    • One (1) to three (3) years of security experience preferred (not required).
    • Auction knowledge and experience preferred (not required).
    • Must have the ability to work various shifts, occasional weekends, and/or nights.
    • Effective customer relations, communication, and interpersonal skills required.
    • Basic computer skills are required.
    • Ability to understand and adhere to Company policies in all areas is required.
    • Must be qualified to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid driver's license.
    • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
