We are seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Independent School District 15. As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will work with students in an inclusive preschool setting, providing direct services and collaborating with a team of staff to assess, identify, and provide services to students who qualify.

Job Summary:

The Speech and Language Therapist will work with families birth-3 in their home and with students (ages 3 to 5) in an inclusive preschool setting. The therapist will work with a team of staff to assess, identify, and provide direct services to students that qualify for services.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct instruction to students in the areas of speech and communication as outlined in their IEPs.
  • Consult with other staff members on the successful implementation of communication strategies and assistive devices within the educational setting.
  • Complete speech/communication assessment on identified students.
  • Complete the written documents related to speech services (IEPs, Evaluation Reports, Progress Reports, etc.).
  • Attend and sometimes facilitate IEP meetings for assigned students.
  • Provide case management services for assigned students.
  • Complete Third Party Billing documentation for MA eligible students.
Requirements:

Minnesota Teacher Licensure as an Educational Speech Language Pathologist. This position requires that the candidate have their Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language. Candidates will be considered who are eligible to obtain a Certificate of Clinical Competence.
