The ideal candidate will be able to effectively monitor boiler systems, perform water chemical testing, and add necessary chemical components. Additionally, they should possess excellent problem-solving skills, be proactive, and have a keen eye for detail.

In addition to performing scheduled services and entering dates onto equipment records, the Maintenance Mechanic will also identify and address potential issues before they become major problems. This involves staying up-to-date on manufacturer recommendations and adhering to industry standards. By taking a proactive approach to maintenance, the Maintenance Mechanic helps prevent costly downtime and ensures that our facilities remain safe and efficient.

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, with an associate degree or vocational certificate in a related field being preferred. At least one year of experience in a pharmaceutical, food, or chemical manufacturing environment in a maintenance mechanic position is also desirable.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain all building, utility, and production equipment in an orderly and efficient manner.
  • Perform necessary repairs to equipment and buildings as needed.
  • Monitor the boiler system including water chemical testing and addition chemical components and charging aged salt to the water softeners.
  • Enter date onto equipment records.
