Key Responsibilities
The Emergency Department RN will deliver services in alignment with the healthcare system's policies. Primary duties include:
- Overseeing all aspects of the nursing process while providing and/or supervising direct patient care
- Conducting assessments, planning, implementing, and evaluating care tailored to age-specific needs
- Coordinating care focused on patient transitions, education, self-management post-discharge, and enhancing customer satisfaction
- Considering individual characteristics such as age, health status, cultural background, and personal values
- Administering medications and procedures in accordance with established guidelines
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary team members to influence care outcomes
- Effectively communicating with individuals from diverse educational and ethnic backgrounds
- Working collaboratively as part of a team in all assignments
- Engaging in quality improvement initiatives and customer service programs at the unit or program level
- Completion of an accredited Registered Nurse academic program (BSN or ADN)
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in at least one U.S. state or territory
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- A minimum of three (3) years of recent experience in an Emergency Room setting is required
- No sponsorship is available
All candidates must be capable of:
- Sitting, standing, walking, lifting, squatting, bending, twisting, and reaching overhead during the work shift
- Lifting up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
- Lifting up to 20 lbs
- Carring up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
- Applying push/pull force of 30 lbs
