About the Role

We are seeking a skilled IT Project Manager to join our team at StateJobsNY. This is a full-time position that requires strong leadership and technical skills to oversee the development and implementation of various software projects.

Job Summary
  • Manage and lead teams of testers supporting Department of Labor applications.
  • Demonstrate ability to learn supported applications to better test them and understand reported defects and requested enhancements.
  • Assign and supervise testing of application changes and update development team on status of testing.
Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance to testing team during various phases of the software development lifecycle.
  • Participate in meetings with Department of Labor, vendors, and ITS staff to evaluate and prioritize defect resolution and application enhancements.
  • Understand established Release Management processes for Department of Labor applications.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of one year of permanent competitive service as an Information Technology Specialist 4 or equivalent experience.
  • Strong leadership and technical skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.

We offer a competitive salary of $93,072 - $144,856 per year, depending on location and qualifications.
