Job SummaryWe're seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented EVS Attendant to join our team at Ameristar Casino Resort Spa Black Hawk. As an EVS Attendant, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our casino floor, resort spa, and public areas.
Responsibilities- Clean and sanitize slot machines, ash trays, slot bases, trash cans, restrooms, offices, public areas, windows, and ledges
- Vacuum carpet, sweep and mop tile floors, and clean any spills that occur
- Clean up biohazardous materials according to established guidelines
- Remove trash from trash containers and place into the dumpsters
- Replaces toilet tissue and refills paper towel dispensers
- Clean and polish all furniture, marble, brass fixtures, brass floor plates, entrance door brass, and kick door brass plates
- Clean all escalators and elevators
- Knows where all facilities in the casino are located
- Straightens chairs as needed
- Removes glasses, cups, paper, and debris from all assigned areas, per procedure
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred
- Willingness to learn and follow direction
- Ability to operate equipment, including vacuum cleaners, floor machines, carpet extractors, mop, and broom
- Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to issues
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization
- Starting at $18.00 per hour
