Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our team at Tru by Hilton Tallahassee/Central, FL. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our hotel's facilities, including the pool area, exercise room, and grounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and Maintain Facilities: Clean and maintain the pool area, exercise room, and grounds, including the parking lot, sidewalks, breezeways, stairs, and entrance.
  • Perform Preventive Maintenance: Check the maintenance log in the front office and fix any problems, work on preventive duties, and report any problems that cannot be easily fixed to the manager on duty.
  • Ensure Guest Satisfaction: Report any problems that would interfere with guest satisfaction to necessary departments and the General Manager.
  • Maintain Storage Areas: Keep the storage area clean every day and lock all storage areas before clocking out.
  • Manage Inventory: Ensure that there are enough housekeeping supplies on each floor and that there are enough linens and supplies in stock.
  • Verify Exterior Lighting: Verify that all exterior lights are working properly.
  • Identify and Report Safety Hazards: Report and fix any safety hazards throughout the hotel.
  • Manage Stock Room Inventory: Ensure that the stock room has sufficient inventory to last at least two weeks and bring it to the attention of the General Manager if any supply needs to be ordered.
  • Perform Equipment Maintenance: Clean equipment, filters on all HVAC units, and windows and doors.
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: Hospitality experience preferred.
  • Skills: Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.
