We are looking for a skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse to contribute to our surgical team.
Job Responsibilities
The Staff RN will report directly to the OR Charge Nurse and the Director of Surgical Services, while also working under the supervision of the House Supervisor. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing both direct and indirect patient care in the perioperative environment, utilizing the nursing process which includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for patients across all age groups including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and seniors.
The Registered Nurse will coordinate patient care with the surgical team, including surgeons and anesthesiologists, while also directing and mentoring the OR Technicians and other staff members. It is essential to uphold professional nursing standards and collaborate with various departments to ensure a seamless continuum of care. The RN will also be responsible for maintaining unit organization and efficient patient flow, while adhering to hospital regulations, standards, and policies.
Key Qualifications
- Valid RN License in the state of practice.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 30 days of hire.
- At least one year of prior perioperative experience or equivalent training.
- Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification is preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
