Position Overview

The YMCA of Greater Richmond is on the lookout for a qualified individual to take on the role of Head Swim Team Coach at our Aquatic Center. This part-time position offers a competitive starting wage of $17 per hour, with potential for a higher rate based on experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Aquatics Director to manage the swim team program effectively.
  • Oversee the scheduling, training, and evaluation of swim practices and assistant coaches.
  • Maintain open availability during weekdays and weekends for swim meets, coaches' meetings, and dive clinics.

Required Qualifications

Ideal candidates will possess a minimum of three years of coaching experience and a demonstrated ability to manage a large swim team. Essential certifications include current professional CPR, AED, and First Aid. Additionally, certifications from YMCA or American Red Cross as a Lifeguard or Ellis, along with YMCA Swim Instructor or WSI certifications, are preferred. All applicants must submit copies of their current certifications along with their resumes.
