Job Title: Crane Service Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Crane Service Technician to join our team at Munck Cranes USA Inc. (MCU). As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for conducting inspections and service on various models of overhead cranes and lifting devices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough inspections and service on overhead cranes and lifting devices to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Perform extensive on-site electrical, electronic, and mechanical troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with the service manager and general manager to ensure accurate and timely completion of service tasks.
  • Travel to job sites to install, remove, and inspect cranes and hoists, ensuring they are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Read and understand drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate installation and repair of cranes and lifting devices.
  • Work at heights on large steel structures, operating forklifts, elevated work platforms, and other heavy equipment as needed.
  • Maintain regular communication with the service office and ensure accurate and timely submission of paperwork and quotes.
Requirements:
  • Associate degree in Industrial Electrical/Mechanical Technology or related field, or equivalent vocational/technical training and experience.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience working on and/or installing overhead cranes, preferred.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience involving electrical troubleshooting and mechanical repair.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to build and maintain positive relationships with customers.
  • Valid driver's license in good standing.
Working Conditions:

This position requires frequent lifting, climbing, balancing, stooping/crouching, and overhead reaching. The position will be inside approximately 90% of the time and outside approximately 10% of the time. The position will be frequently exposed to heat, cold, noise, and heights.

Maintenance Mechanics/Millwrights with strong electrical and mechanic skills or Technicians from an industrial environment are highly encouraged to apply.
