Job Summary:

As a skilled Line Cook at Tucker's Restaurant, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of hot food products to the highest standards of quality and presentation. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately and efficiently cook meat, fish, vegetables, soups, and other hot food products to meet the demands of a busy restaurant.
• Prepare and portion food products prior to cooking, ensuring that all dishes are presented to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work station area, including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, pasta cookers, sauté burners, convection oven, flat top range, and refrigeration.
• Follow proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes, ensuring that all dishes are visually appealing and meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
• Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to ensure a smooth service period.
• Assist in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed, including dish station.
• Close the kitchen properly and follow the closing checklist for kitchen stations, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Requirements:

A minimum of 2 years of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking. Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen, and dining room personnel. Be able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds. Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours). Understand Core Values. Serv Safe Food Handling Certification.
