About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced System Development Engineer to join our AWS Storage Hardware Engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying software solutions that enable the next generation of cloud infrastructure storage systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of software solutions for AWS storage servers and devices.
- Collaborate with engineers across the company to design and build system-level software at scale.
- Develop automation software that spans multiple teams and organizations.
- Design and build monitoring tools and metrics to ensure hardware is running properly in test and production environments.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience deploying and operating in a Linux/Unix environment.
- 5+ years of programming experience with modern languages such as C++, Java, Python, or Golang.
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong understanding of OS internals, particularly storage subsystems in a Linux-based environment.
- Demonstrated experience building and troubleshooting device drivers for Linux on ARM and x86.
