Job Description:

The Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) will work under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist to assist clients with daily activities and provide training on proper use of adaptive equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with client evaluations and develop treatment plans
  • Administer therapy programs as directed by the supervising occupational therapist
  • Teach clients and their families how to use adaptive equipment and prosthetic devices
  • Maintain accurate records of client progress and communicate with the supervising occupational therapist
  • Participate in interprofessional team meetings to discuss client care and develop strategies for improvement

Requirements:

  • Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
  • Licensure to practice in the state of Florida
  • Minimum 1+ year(s) experience working with individuals with disabilities or mental health conditions
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
