About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Software Development Engineer to join our team at the American Board of Anesthesiology, Inc. in Raleigh, NC. As a software development engineer, you will design, build, and implement tools and processes for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) to support our software and testing ecosystems, which are built on Microsoft Azure's suite of services. You'll collaborate closely with our development and quality assurance teams to ensure efficient and reliable software delivery.

The salary for this position is estimated at $115,000 per year.

Key responsibilities include designing and building infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform or Ansible to maintain reproducible environments, developing automation testing frameworks and shared libraries, automating deployment and testing processes, setting up and maintaining monitoring processes and automated alerts for applications and infrastructure, ensuring system reliability, scalability, and security, maintaining and monitoring solutions using Power Platform, Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, Azure Pipelines, and Azure Logic Apps, virtualizing environments using tools like Kubernetes and Azure Kubernetes Service, deploying applications, configuring services, and monitoring and troubleshooting in Azure environments, implementing data storage solutions, integrating databases, and using Azure data services for efficient data management and analytics, implementing robust security measures, access controls, and compliance standards to safeguard applications and data, analyzing logs and metrics to identify bottlenecks, optimize application performance, and scale resources dynamically, optimizing resource utilization and cost efficiency, taking ownership of software components and modules from conception through deployment, setting up environments and documenting release notes and technical details regarding functionality and configuration, using an issue tracking system to document necessary code changes and follow standard versioning requirements using a source control system, analyzing problems and resolving technical issues regarding component functionality and customer enhancements, fixing defects and recommending enhancements as appropriate, providing technical consulting to internal and external customers to address system issues and recommend solutions, maintaining knowledge of the latest computer technologies, and traveling to support remote ABA operations as needed.
