Mercy Hospital Ardmore is seeking a skilled Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse to join our team. As a critical care nurse, you will play a vital role in managing the care of critically ill patients.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care to critically ill patients, including those on ventilators and requiring dialysis treatment.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Perform various procedures, including NGT placement, foley placement, and PIV placement.
- Assist with Central Line placement, Arterial Line placement, Thoracentesis, Paracentesis, Chest Tube placement, Temporary Pacemaker placement, bedside Bronchoscopy, and bedside GI procedures.
- Participate in Code Blue and Rapid Response Team activities.
- Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
- Personally responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed.
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Prolonged standing and walking each shift.
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
