As a Welding Quality Assurance Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include conducting inspections of structural steel, carbon steel piping fit-up, and welding processes. Additionally, you will carry out nondestructive testing methods, such as magnetic particle and ultrasonic evaluations.
Key Responsibilities:- Act as a consultant in your area of expertise, including structural steel, pipeline, pressure vessel, and reinforcing steel.
- Compile detailed inspection reports and documentation as required by clients.
- Maintain ongoing communication with clients throughout the duration of projects.
- Collaborate with legal representatives when necessary.
- Work in diverse environments, including outdoor settings and elevated structures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in steel inspection and welding.
- AWS Certified Welding Inspector (AWS QC1) and ASNT NDT Level II certifications are essential.
- A valid driver's license and compliance with auto insurability standards.
Strong organizational and management skills are crucial for this position. Excellent communication abilities and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications are required. The capacity to work independently and efficiently is vital.
