Job Summary

Healthcare Staffing Plus is seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for operating computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the safety and well-being of patients during scanning procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Position patients appropriately for scanning

Perform regular warm-up sequences on the CT scanner to prolong the life of the X-ray tubes

Sterilize radiologic equipment to ensure patient safety

Correctly interpret doctors' written scanning instructions

Administer radiocontrast agents to patients to enhance the visibility of internal organs and tissues

Evaluate CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical quality

Requirements

BLS and ACLS certification

National Institutes of Health (NIH) certification

Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology

Ability to stand for extended periods

Strong technical skills

Knowledge of medical terminology

Passionate about patient care

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum of three years of current CT Tech experience

Graduate from a fully accredited Radiology Tech/CT Tech program

Active unencumbered CT Tech Michigan state license

One year of Cerner experience

ARRT Certification

Skills/Abilities/Competencies Required

Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills

Participates in relevant continuing education programs

Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients

Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise

A can-do, team-oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
