RN - Cardiac Telemetry Specialist

As a Telemetry Nurse at CHI St. Joseph Health, you will utilize your nursing expertise to meticulously observe and assess your patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, oxygen levels, heart rhythms, and respiratory rates. Your role will also involve reassuring patients and their families by clearly communicating test outcomes and facilitating informed healthcare decisions.
In this vital position, you will collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to monitor patients requiring continuous cardiac observation. Building trust through effective communication, you will apply your knowledge and skills in real-time to deliver solutions that positively impact patient care. Your success in this role will stem from your passion for providing exceptional care, eagerness to learn, and ability to engage effectively with colleagues, patients, and their families.

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and document heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation levels routinely.
- Promptly identify and report any changes in patient conditions.
- Clearly explain test results and procedures to patients and their families.
- Provide education on post-hospital care, including medication management and preventive measures.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing or a Nursing Diploma.
- A minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA).
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.
- One (1) year or more of experience in an Acute Care setting is preferred.
