About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Process Water Technician to join our team at Practical Applications, Inc. As a key member of our Water and Wastewater Services team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular system inspections and prepare detailed field reports.
  • Perform water and wastewater sampling, ensuring accurate and precise results.
  • Calibrate analytical equipment, preparing calibration reports to maintain data integrity.
  • Execute system calibrations and flow testing, paying close attention to detail.
  • Provide prompt and effective service to customers, including chemical transfers.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment, including inventory management, cleaning, and upkeep.
  • Coordinate vehicle maintenance, ensuring assigned vehicles are well-maintained.
  • Serve as a liaison between the company and customers, providing exceptional communication and customer service skills.
  • Participate in the rotating on-call schedule for O&M, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • A thorough understanding of water and wastewater science and regulations.
  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically.
  • Massachusetts Industrial Wastewater Operator License Grade 2I or higher (can be completed upon hire).
  • Educational background in Environmental Science, or equivalent, and/or Technical School Graduate.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in Environmental Services or a related field.

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, based on location and industry standards.
