- Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the sales floor, stockroom, and restrooms.
- Ring sales and maintain cash control, including handling cash, operating the register, and processing transactions.
- Perform all regular cleaning activities, including sweeping, mopping, and dusting.
- Forecast, order, and stock merchandise, including receiving and stocking shipments.
- Check in merchandise deliveries from vendors and ensure accurate inventory levels.
To be successful as a Retail Sales Associate, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Basic math skills, with the ability to handle cash and operate a register.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with frequent lifting of 1-5 pounds.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
This position requires constant standing, bending, reaching, and frequent lifting of 1-5 pounds. Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds may be required. The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
