As a Registered Nurse in this unit, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care to individuals facing blood cancer and hematologic disorders.
About the RoleAs a Registered Nurse in the Outpatient Blood Cancer Unit, you will be responsible for the care of blood and marrow transplant patients, as well as patients with hematologic and oncologic disorders. You will utilize nursing processes to direct and deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients, considering age-related factors, principles of death and dying, and providing emotional, spiritual, religious, and cultural support to patients and their significant others.
Requirements- 1 year of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) – preferred
- Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License
- Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy Provider – preferred
- Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification – preferred
