Job Summary:

Altru Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Family Care Unit team. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide direct nursing care to patients, maintaining a strong team culture and promoting critical thinking, problem-solving, and career development. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering high-quality patient care and a commitment to mentoring new employees.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients, assessing their physical, psychological, social, educational, developmental, and rehabilitative needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care, collaborating with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Conduct daily rounds, ensuring quality customer service and addressing any patient concerns.
  • Assess and intervene in patient symptoms of pain, taking appropriate action according to standard operating procedure.
  • Identify early warning signs of a change in patient condition and respond accordingly, contacting responsible clinicians as needed.
  • Document patient observations and reactions, ensuring accurate and concise records.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with patients and significant individuals, providing education and counseling as needed.
  • Participate in discharge planning, ensuring a smooth transition for patients and families.
Certifications and Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse licensure in North Dakota or Compact State Agreement.
  • Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.

•Indoor environment, with occasional exposure to extreme temperatures.
