Job Responsibilities:
- We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist-CRT to join our team, responsible for determining therapy appropriateness, contacting physicians when necessary, providing educational materials, documenting critical values, and assisting with patient care decision-making.
- This role involves caring for neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in various hospital settings, applying and maintaining invasive and non-invasive ventilation systems, drawing blood samples, and analyzing arterial blood gas results.
- You will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to provide comprehensive patient care.
Requirements:
- A graduate degree from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program, minimum associate's degree required.
- New York State Respiratory Therapist license and RRT/CRT credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care are essential.
- Experience with basic respiratory therapy modalities, mechanical ventilation, non-invasive ventilation, patient assessment, and arterial blood gas collection/analysis is mandatory.
- BLS certification is required.
