Job Overview

Ortega Boulevard Dental, a high-production general dental office in Jacksonville, Florida, is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join their team at Shore Dental Partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and prepare operatory rooms to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Prepare and maintain dental instruments, supplies, and equipment to meet the highest standards of quality and hygiene.
  • Assist with hygiene procedures as needed, providing exceptional patient care and comfort.
  • Take dental radiographs (if licensed) and accurately record patient medical history, blood pressure, and pulses.
  • Develop and implement infection control protocols, ensuring the sterilization and preparation of instruments and equipment.
  • Provide exceptional patient care, making patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment.
  • Enter patient information into the charting system with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Handle patient reception, seating, and dismissal with professionalism and courtesy.

Requirements:

  • Graduate from a dental assisting program with a strong foundation in dental principles and practices.
  • A passion for the dental industry and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, dentists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • A kind, compassionate, and empathetic approach to patient care.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities with ease.
