Position Overview

The primary goal of this role is to acquire and enhance the competencies and skills of a Pharmacist while enrolled in a pharmacy education program. All tasks and responsibilities will be performed under the guidance of a licensed Pharmacist.

Key Responsibilities

- Gather customer and prescription details, including refill requests, from clients and healthcare providers.

- Process customer prescriptions accurately.

- Communicate with healthcare professionals and utilize reference materials to obtain information on clients and prescriptions, addressing any issues that may arise.

- Familiarize yourself with Thrifty Payless's computer systems; enter customer and prescription information into the database.

- Ensure efficient service in the pharmacy department by assisting customers and managing the cash register.

- Provide assistance to customers with health-related inquiries and offer healthcare guidance.

- Stay informed about over-the-counter medications.

- Understand and adhere to company policies and procedures.

- Help maintain the pharmacy department's cleanliness and organization.

- Assist with inventory counts, stock reports, and customer notifications.

- Complete quality assurance tasks in compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations.

- Be open to working a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) and enrollment in an accredited pharmacy program is required.

- A pharmacy intern license is also required.
