COLSA is seeking a skilled Cloud Software Developer to support our Enterprise IT Support Services work at the Army Aviation and Missile Center (AvMC) at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama.
About AvMCAvMC is the U.S. Army's focal point for providing research, development, and engineering technology and services for aviation and missile platforms across the weapons systems life cycle.
Job Responsibilities- Provide support for existing full stack and new cloud applications and collaborative service capabilities for AvMC G6.
- Develop new software that is cloud ready.
- Design applications that are reliable, efficient in design, easily maintained, and scalable to meet increasing demands.
- Follow applicable Configuration and Change Management policies developed in accordance with IEEE and ISO to include source code management utilizing the AvMC standard software repositories.
- Follow cybersecurity policies to ensure compliance and DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to support accreditation of software on the AvMC network.
- Develop and maintain documentation for the applications to describe program and database design, code logic, coding standards, change package releases, and production monitoring procedures.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other related field.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with ASP.NET, C#, VB.NET, HTML5, CSS3, Razor Pages, JavaScript, Bootstrap, ClosedXML (Excel file generation), Responsive Web Design (Angular), AJAX, JSON, LINQ, SQL, DB schema design.
- Experience using Visual Studio (coding), SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), and TFS development tools.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Willing and able to obtain Security +CE certification within 6 months of hire.
- U.S. Citizenship required; must be able to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
- Background in integration techniques (REST/SOAP API's).
