Position Summary:

The Global Safety Specialist plays a crucial role in safeguarding the associates, assets, and reputation of TJX US. This position involves constant monitoring of US facilities and responding to incidents in real-time, adhering to established protocols. The role requires availability for night shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and provide immediate guidance on Workplace Safety Incidents to both field and corporate partners, which includes:
    • Making recommendations to enhance safety measures
    • Identifying necessary information for comprehensive risk assessments
    • Directing communication strategies
    • Engaging with local and TJX partners as needed
  • Effectively manage alarm activations across various platforms, ensuring compliance with procedures across TJX US facilities, which includes:
    • Coaching and developing business partners on critical incident management
    • Conducting research and gap analyses related to workplace safety incidents
  • Administer all control room operations, including CCTV monitoring.
  • Provide operational support to GIS SOC Operators, Specialists, Supervisors, and relevant Managers.
  • Assist in internal and external investigations as necessary.
  • Support major incident command and crisis management efforts, offering strategic recommendations.
  • Possess authoritative knowledge of security and fire alarm systems, resolving issues as they arise.
  • Maintain availability via mobile communication during shifts.
  • Extend support to all TJX Global facilities as required, completing reports as requested.
  • Participate in ongoing training across GIS SOC functions to adapt to evolving business needs.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred educational background in Criminal Justice, Computer Science, or Legal Studies.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a control center environment.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in retail operations.
  • Familiarity with CCTV Systems (Genetec/Milestone, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Fire Alarm and Burglar Alarm Systems.
  • Experience with Access Control Systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service abilities.
  • Effective decision-making skills.
  • Capability to influence others to minimize risks to TJX.

Compensation:

The starting salary for this position ranges from $55,200 to $69,000 annually, based on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
