Job Title: Security Shift Supervisor

As a Security Shift Supervisor with MSCCN, you will be responsible for overseeing the security operations at our client sites. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of security officers and other personnel assigned to client sites
  • Ensure that all post orders are followed and that required reports are filed
  • Coach and discipline personnel as needed, and seek advice from management as required
  • Train security officers and other personnel on post orders and other details of assignments
  • Assist in the submission of payroll and personnel information to the company
  • Prepare and submit various reports as required
  • Inspect posts as scheduled and meet with subordinates to outline tasks and responsibilities
  • Meet with client representatives as scheduled or as needed to provide assurance that all security requirements are being met
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in retail preferred
  • Knowledge of security operations, supervisory practices, and procedures
  • Ability to provide positive direction and motivate performance
  • Understanding of security and safety devices and controls
  • Ability to learn quickly and carry out instructions
  • Ability to track and maintain schedule assignments
  • Ability to be an effective team member
  • Ability to maintain professional composure in challenging situations
Working Conditions:

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to maintain composure in challenging situations. The employee may be exposed to stressful situations, such as challenging individuals who are in or approaching an unauthorized area. The employee must be able to work overtime without advance notice and to handle multiple tasks concurrently.

The employee must be able to see, hear, speak, and write clearly in order to communicate with employees and clients, observe and report incidents, and direct others. The employee must also be able to frequent sitting, standing, and walking, which may be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain.

The employee may be required to perform stressful and physical activity, and may be exposed to inclement weather or be required to work in environments or under conditions that require the use of protective gear and devices and/or awareness of personal safety and safety of others.

The employee may be exposed to or required to handle sensitive and confidential information.
