Transformative Care in Intensive Care Unit

At City of Hope, we're dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care in our Intensive Care Unit. As a critical care registered nurse, you'll play a vital role in providing compassionate and expert care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct patient care through the nursing process, collaborating with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Provide leadership to non-licensed staff, setting an example of excellence and promoting a culture of safety.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals, ensuring seamless care coordination.
  • Assess patient needs through a holistic approach, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
  • Document interventions and supervise care delivery by unlicensed support staff.
Patient and Family Education:

As a critical care nurse, you'll provide patient and family education regarding disease processes, treatment side effects, and health promotion. You'll document education and support provided according to department standards.

Compliance and Quality Improvement:

You'll ensure compliance with hospital policies and accrediting agencies, participating in the development, review, and updating of policies and procedures. Actively engage in the Performance Improvement plan of the unit to enhance patient care quality.

Medication Management:

Obtain patient medical history and medication information, documenting appropriately in the patient's medical record. This role requires strong communication skills, clinical expertise, and a commitment to quality improvement to ensure safe and effective patient care.

We're seeking a dedicated and compassionate critical care registered nurse with 1-3 years of experience in a bedside care setting. Oncology experience is preferred, as is recent ICU and/or step-down experience.
