Job Title: Paramedic (Part Time) Dunwoody EMS Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Paramedic to join our team in Dunwoody, Georgia. As a Paramedic (Part Time) Dunwoody EMS Specialist, you will be responsible for providing emergency medical services to patients in need.

Job Summary:

The Paramedic (Part Time) Dunwoody EMS Specialist will be responsible for conducting patient care from an ambulance, supervising day-to-day field operations, and ensuring compliance with AmeriPro EMS policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide emergency medical services to patients in need
  • Supervise day-to-day field operations
  • Ensure compliance with AmeriPro EMS policies and procedures
  • Assist with the evaluation of employee performance
  • Monitor the overall deployment and efficiency of the established system
  • Make decisions concerning IFT, Mutual Aid, and Out of town trips
  • Manage short-term scheduling needs
  • Ensure crews TEFs are turned into Operations Supervisor
  • Deliver RTF paperwork to employees on duty
  • Perform daily duties, including truck cleaning, station duties, check-offs, etc.
  • Respond to the scene of calls with crews and assume command and coordinate ambulance transport in the event of a Mass Casualty Incident
Requirements:
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the EMS field preferred
  • State specific Paramedic license in good standing / current NREMT certification if required by state
  • Current certifications, including BLS, ACLS, PCC/PALS, and Ventilator certification
  • Valid state specific Drivers license
  • Successful completion of a comprehensive background check and drug screening
  • Strong people skills and proven ability to collaborate within a team
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to comprehend and execute verbal and written instructions in English
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working as a Paramedic or in a similar medical role
  • Additional certification or advanced training in emergency services, including Advanced Medical Life Support (AMLS), Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS), and/or Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) training
  • Technology proficiency
Working Environment:

Due to the nature of EMS care, employees may be exposed to inclement weather, potential hazardous conditions, psychological stressors, diseases, and other illnesses. Frequent interruptions, work pressure, difficult personalities, and irregularities in work schedule are expected.
