Join Our Team as a Speech Language Pathologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our interdisciplinary team at Rehabilitation Hospital of Rhode Island. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in the rehabilitation journey of our patients, providing comprehensive care and support to help them achieve their goals.

Our Rehabilitation Programs

We offer a range of rehabilitation programs tailored to the individual needs of our patients, including those recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury. Our programs are designed to promote maximum benefits of care and support our patients in achieving their full potential.

What You Will Do

  • Perform patient assessments to identify areas of need and develop personalized treatment plans
  • Provide care in accordance with physician's orders and established plans of care
  • Assess the effectiveness of treatment and modify treatment plans as needed
  • Communicate with patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare teams to achieve rehabilitation goals
  • Participate in performance improvement and program development activities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's and master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, or a related field
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or eligibility to participate as an ASHA Clinical Fellow (CFY)
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state
  • Current Basic Life Support/CPR card

Compensation

Our Speech Language Pathologists are compensated at a rate of $50 USD per hour or year, with opportunities for advancement and professional development.
