Job Summary

We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Providence Alaska Medical Center. As a key member of our patient care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, including vital signs, bathing, and dressing.
  • Assist with patient transfers, ambulation, and positioning.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients, including cleaning and disinfecting equipment and surfaces.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Current Alaska Nursing Assistant Certification License.
  • Completion of Medical Terminology course or successful completion of hospital Medical terminology test within 90 days of hire.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
